WHAT IS SMART SWITCH FILM PNLC?
Smart Film Switch PNLC (Polymer Network Liquid Crystal) is an electrical switchable privacy film that operates from clear and transitions to frosted (opaque) with a press of a button. PNLC is reversed from PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) technology. It works by controlling the alignment of liquid crystal molecules by using electricity.
Power OFF (Clear):
The liquid crystals are scattered within the natural light, making the appearance of the glass frosted (opaque) while the glass remains translucent.
Power ON (Opaque):
The liquid crystals are lined essentially allowing natural light to pass through making the glass appear clear and transparent.
